podcasts in education

I think as a secondary school teacher, podcasts will be a valuable tool for me to utilize. One difficulty that I will face will be computer incompatibilities between my computer at home and the one I use at school. However, with some planning, I should be able to overcome this hurdle. Additionally, I can envision using a "station" type approach to teaching biology similar to that used in physical education. My stations would incorporate a series of podcasts and other hands-on methods.

Great idea with the stations. As for incompatibility, podcasts are just audio files that should play between platforms without any trouble. You could burn them to a CD and you're off and running.
